Background checks are carried out on all adults within Scouting before they are permitted to work with the children. Leaders are also trained through the Scout Association adult training program.

Jerry “Mr. Bak” Bakanowsky
Committee Chair – Cub Scout Pack 1721, Troop 7151 B & G, and Venture Crew 21

Jerry “Mr. Bak” Bakanowsky is the founder and driving force behind all four units of the Premier Scout Family. His leadership has shaped Pack 1721, Troop 7151 B & G, and Venture Crew 21 into thriving, inclusive programs that allow every youth to grow, learn, and experience Scouting to its fullest.

Mr. Bak is a highly trained and dedicated Scout leader, having completed Wood Badge, IOLS, and BALOO training. He is also a certified Search and Rescue member and a certified lifeguard. He is also a certified instructor in Lifesaving, First Aid, and CPR, as well as a Wilderness Survival First Aid instructor—bringing a high level of safety, preparedness, and professionalism to every Scouting activity.

Guided by the belief that “you get out of it what you put into it,” Mr. Bak is committed to creating an environment where youth of all backgrounds can succeed. His vision, energy, and unwavering dedication continue to strengthen the Premier Scout Family and inspire the next generation of leaders.

Erik Wolf ~ Mr. Wolf

​Mr. Erik is one of the founding members of Troop 7151 and has been a steady force in shaping the Troop since day one. When the unit launched in 2017, he served as the inaugural Committee Chair, laying the groundwork for a strong and thriving program.
​
In 2023, he shifted into the Scoutmaster role, where his energy and vision opened the door to new skills, fresh concepts, and exciting adventures. Under his leadership, the Troop has explored new locations, broadened its horizons, and continued to grow in both spirit and skill.

Katie Wallis ~ Miss Katie

Katie “Ms. Katie” Wallis is a founding leader of the Premier Scouting Family and a driving force behind the growth and success of all four units. She currently serves as Scoutmaster for Troop 7151 G, Advancement Chair for Troop 7151 B and Pack 1721, and Crew Advisor for Venture Crew 21, guiding youth development across every level of the program.
​
Ms. Katie brings decades of leadership and outdoor experience, including solo hiking along the Appalachian Trail and operating large-scale Girl Scout units and camps serving more than 200 youth. Her background in youth programming, team leadership, and outdoor education gives her a deep understanding of how to build strong, inclusive, and adventure-focused Scouting experiences.

As a committed member of the Search and Rescue Team, Ms. Katie models preparedness and service. She is fully trained in the Scouting program with completed courses including Wood Badge, IOLS, BALOO, and COPE. Her dedication, high standards, and passion for youth leadership help shape the Premier Scouting Family into a thriving, supportive community where every Scout can grow, challenge themselves, and discover their potential.

Bob Mousley ~ Mr. Bob

Mr. Bob is a founding member of Cub Scout Pack 1721. Even though his son has aged out of Cub Scouts, Mr. Bob has continued to dedicate his time and energy to supporting the Pack and ensuring its ongoing success. A trained and experienced Scout leader, he has completed Woodbadge, ITOLS, and Baloo training.

Beyond Scouting, Mr. Bob is a highly active community volunteer. He is deeply involved in the Premier Scouting Family and an engaged member of Hope Christian Fellowship Church in Woodbury, where he contributes extensively to their programs. As the Pack’s resident fishing expert, Mr. Bob has completed all requirements to become a Certified Angling Instructor, sharing his knowledge and passion with Scouts and the broader community alike.

Carl Carlamere ~ Mr. Carl

Mr. Carl is a founding member of Cub Scout Pack 1721 and originally joined the Pack with his grandson. Even though his grandson has moved on to Boy Scouts, Mr. Carl chose to continue serving as a leader to support the Pack’s operations and ensure its ongoing success.
​
A dedicated community volunteer, Mr. Carl contributes his time and expertise both within Scouting and as an active member of The Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. With a wealth of experience in the skilled trades, he eagerly shares his knowledge with our Scouting Family. Mr. Carl is also a USA Certified Archery Instructor and a trained rifle instructor, bringing his skills and passion for outdoor activities to Scouts of all ages.

Miss April joined the Premier Scout family when her grandson joined and has continued working with the units ever since. A long time scouter, April has been in Scouting since 1963 when she joined Girl Scouts. She earned the highest award in Girl Scouting and then joined Sea Scouts when females were first allowed to join Exploring in 1971 and was the first female in New England to earn the rank of Quartermaster. Miss April continued her scouting journey as a GS Leader and a Sea Scouts Skipper. She is CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard trained and has earned her Skipper’s Key, Training Award, Sea Badge Certification and has been awarded the Silver Beaver, Commander Keane Award, District Award of Merit and the Catholic Religious Award.
Miss April has a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and believes that our youth is our greatest commodity. Her belief is that all of our youth are gifted and is it our job to help them open their packages to achieve their goals

Miss Lisa is a proud founding member of Cub Scout Pack 1721 and first joined the Pack with her grandson. Even after he moved on to Boy Scouts, she kept the momentum going—staying on as a leader to cheer on our youngest Scouts and help the Pack thrive.

Full of enthusiasm and community spirit, Miss Lisa is deeply involved both in Scouting and at The Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. A trained and always-ready leader, she brings energy, heart, and a helping hand to her family, her community, and the military families she supports.
